We Bought a HOUSE

We Bought uh HOUSE.

It’s official, our next big adventure is here. Earlier this month we bought a (Mrs. Smith:) “super cute!”, (Mr. Smith:) “wicked badass” Cape style house outside of the city. When we last moved, we were so excited to be right in the city. We love Boston! Especially now, after almost ten years, there are so many special people, places, and memories we’ve met and made here. We plan on staying connected to all of them as closely as possible. And now we’re excited to have our very own piece of property still so close to it! It really feels great.

Important understatement: The house we just bought is a fixer-upper.

Are you going to move there right away?

No, there’s so much work to do, it’ll be a while before we can think about moving any of our things in.

Was the home-buying process easy?

H*$% no. This was at one time a foreclosed property. We’ll definitely have to tell you about how that all went. Sneak peek: it took FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS.

How much land does it have?

1.5 acres WHAT WHAT. That might as well be the whole state as far as we’re concerned. Plus, there are horses there—(Mrs. Smith:) “OMG, horses for neighbors!” Clearly lots to tell.

We’ll keep you up to date on all the major moves we make with the house and how we’re handling this major undertaking. For now we’re just happy to be on another big adventure together.

For us, 2015 will be the year of the house.
