I’ve been following food blogs for the last 4 years or so, and now that I’ve finally got my own (due to the outstanding help of L. Smith to push me along in starting one), I can participate in The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap and the great food blogging community it comes with. I’m really excited!
From their website
“The GREAT FOOD BLOGGER COOKIE SWAP brings together food bloggers from around the world in celebration of all things scrumptious. The premise is this: sign up. Receive the addresses of three other food bloggers. Send each of them one dozen delicious homemade cookies. Receive three different boxes of scrumptious cookies from other bloggers. Eat them all yourself (or, you know, share. If you want. No judgement either way.) Post your cookie recipe on your blog. See everyone else’s cookie recipes. Salivate. Get lots of great ideas for next year’s cookie swap. Rinse and repeat.”
A Passion for Dessert Recipes
I love the dessert recipes on Love and Olive Oil (especially Lindsay’s cupcake recipes), and so I’ve signed up to join in The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap that she is hosting together with Julie of The Little Kitchen. This is the third year they are hosting the swap, which is benefitting Cookies for Kid’s Cancer, a great cause that provides annual research grants to five of the nation’s leading pediatric cancer centers to advance the development of less toxic, more effective treatments for children battling cancer.
Consider Joining The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap!
If you are a food blogger, consider joining us in baking up a storm, sharing delicious treats, and building community, all in one! You can sign up until midnight tonight, November 4, 2013.
Check back on December 11th for the inside scoop on the recipe I choose and for pictures of the cookies I get in the mail from other bloggers!
