Here’s our contribution to the Thanksgiving recipes: a fall-flavored holiday cocktail that will tide you over ’til it’s time for dinner. Not much else needs to be said. Mix up a batch and share it with your guests or hosts. Enjoy!

Maple-Ginger Bourbon Cider

Cook Time: 10 seconds
Total Time: 5 minutes, 10 seconds
Yield: 1 Cocktail (multiply for a crowd!)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce ginger simple syrup (or ginger beer)
  • 3 ounces apple cider
  • 1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  2. Pour into a glass filled with ice and enjoy!

Ginger Simple Syrup

Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 12 minutes
Yield: 1 Cocktail (multiply for a crowd!)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 inch piece of ginger

Instructions

  1. Peel the ginger using the back of a spoon. Slice into rounds.
  2. Add water and sugar to a small saucepan, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Add ginger pieces and lower heat to a simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  4. Strain and remove ginger pieces. (You can make candied ginger out of the slices or add them to tea!)
  5. Can be stored in the refrigerator in a well sealed container for up to 6 months.
